My Dear friends,
Allow me first to say that I am so sorry that you have experienced the death of a loved or are anticipating the death of a loved one.
Death is never easy. In fact, death was never part of God’s plan, but thankfully he has done something about it through his Son-our Jesus, who went the way of the cross and the grave to secure forgiveness and life for all who believe in him.
Because of Jesus and the victory he secured for us, now, life in the face of death is God’s promise to us! From the lens of faith we can view death differently then… it is a gateway to life forever in the presence of Jesus and all the saints.
Not only that, because we know that God works good for those who love him” and because we know that life wins, we are never a people without hope. While we most certainly grieve, at the same time we celebrate their “change of address” (as famous evangelist Billy Graham once said) and we can eagerly anticipate when will be joined with Jesus, our loved ones in the faith, and all of the saints.
