December 21 is considered the Longest Night of the Year. For some, the season of Christmas can feel like the “longest season” of the year due to grief, feelings of loss, or unexpected life circumstances that have brought about change.

This special worship service gets to the heart of  the first Christmas and the  emotions and feelings of individuals present when the Savior was born. Christmas holds a message for us who are feeling down, blue or grieving.

At the conclusion of the service, those present are invited to the Altar to light a candle (or candles) in memory of a loved one or as an ultimate expression that “Jesus is the light of the world” there is no darkness that can overcome the light of his presence and love.
